Dala’il Al-Khayrat (Original Arabic, Transliteration and Translation to English)

Dala’il Al-Khayrat (Waymarks of Benefits) compiles litanies invoking peace and blessings (salawat) upon the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is by far the most popular and universally acclaimed collection of prayers upon the Prophet (SAW).

The Dala’il Al-Khayrat is the most celebrated manual of salawat upon the Prophet (SAW) in history. Compiled in the 15th century by the Moroccan scholar Muhammad al-Jazuli, it is divided into seven sections designed to be recited daily.

Soon after it was written, the Dala’il al Khayrat swept across the Islamic World, from North Africa to Indonesia. All well-to-do homes had one; princes exchanged magnificently embellished copies of it, and every Muslim treasured it. Everyone who read it found that barakah descended wherever it was recited, in accordance with the Divine command: Verily Allah and His angels bless the Prophet: O you who believe, bless him and grant him peace (Qur’an 33:56).

For centuries, millions of Muslims have found immense spiritual blessings and peace (barakah) through its recitation.
