THE AUTHOR
Huda Ebrahim was born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In 2001 she matriculated with distinction at Al-Falaah College. In 2002 she enrolled in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2005 she completed her degree with cum laude and qualified as a speech-language pathologist. Thereafter, Hudã served a year of Community Service at Estcourt Hospital in northern KwaZulu-Natal after which she gained employment as a Junior Speech Therapist at the same hospital. From 2008-2013 Hudã was employed as a Senior Speech Therapist in various health sectors in Pietermaritzburg and Durban.
