High-quality Yemeni shawls have just arrived from the blessed valley of Ḥaḍramawt.
Among the men of Yemen, it is a well-loved tradition to wear a shawl draped over the left shoulder. Many of the scholars of Yemen are known to wear it out of reverence for the Prophetic way and attachment to the sunnah.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ appreciated the fine craftsmanship of Yemeni garments, which were known for their quality and beauty. On one occasion, he was seen wearing a Yemeni shawl. Sayyidah ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out one morning wearing a shawl made in Yemen with black stripes.”
